Belgium is a country located in northwestern Europe. It is a part of the Benelux economic union countries together with Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Belgium is one of the most densely populated countries in Europe.

Belgium has a maritime climate which means that it has frequent rain and winters are cool. The summer temperature usually is around 22 degrees Celsius and in the winter is around zero.

The largest and more popular cities to see are Antwerp, Beringen, Bruges, Ghent, and Louven. The cities have tons of locations to enjoy and walk around in. Belgium is also great for hikers and bikers and offers a separate popular location – Ardennes for camping if the travelers want more outdoor activities.

Saint Bavo’s cathedral

Another interesting thing to see in Brussels Grand Place is a flower carped event that happens every two years. It gives a sight of the Grand Place being brightened up by colorful begonias.

The Basilica of the Holy Blood is another architectural masterpiece to look at when in Brussels. It is a Roman Catholic basilica that is located in Bruges, Belgium. The basilica is separated in two chapels – lower and upper chapel. For travelers, this is one of the must-see destinations. The Gothic-style architecture building is perfect for walking around and soaking up the beauty of this chapel.

The building is filled with interesting architectural details that make the walk just that more beautiful. The church holds mass every morning at 11:30 am and later in the day. This building is one of the most loved location by the people of Bruges and everyone considers it to be a real beauty.

Another famous location is the statue Manneken Pis which is a statue of a peeing little boy. Right next to Magritte Museum is the Royal Museum of Fine Arts which stores paintings, sculptures, drawings and artwork dating back to the 15th and 20th centuries.
