To qualify for citizenship by investment in Austria, the applicant should be in an active business or donate to a public project that would positively impact the country’s economy. 

Such investment made by the applicant must be significant. It should contribute positively to the economy, introduce science, research or innovation technologies to Austria, and create jobs. 

The investment should be at least โ‚ฌ10 million for business, or โ‚ฌ3 million as a donation to the government of Austria development fund. Qualifying investments are usually around โ‚ฌ800,000 and โ‚ฌ10 million. 

Passive investments like Government bonds, real estate, and financial instruments do not count. Austria does not accept any passive investment visa program for citizenship. All citizenship by investment must contribute to societal growth.

The applicant must also have a significant influence over a business with an international reputation and a strong economic base. Family members and children can be included in the citizenship application. Children above 18 years of age would need to fill a separate application.

Before your Austrian citizenship application is approved, you must have a solid financial and business background, a business or investment approved by the Austrian Government, and a CV with excellent references.

The Austria Citizenship Act does not accept dual citizenship. You have to renounce your nationality before you become a citizen of Austria. All applicants have required the abandon his current nationality as a condition for being given Austrian nationality.

Application Procedure for Austrian Nationality By Investment
