The castle in Kamyanets-Podilsky

Built in the 14th century, this castle is a part of the National Historical and Architectural Reserve Kamyanets. As it is perfectly preserved, yearly thousands of tourists come to the old city to see the Fortress for themselves. Most visitors are impressed with the spirit of the Middle Age there. The Castle in Kamyanets-Podilsky has numerous towers, monuments and even dungeons. If you want to feel yourself like medieval warriors, you should definitely visit this popular tourist attraction in Ukraine.

The National Dendrology Park Sofiyivka in Uman

This huge park is really one of the beautiful places to visit in Ukraine. It was founded at the very end of the 18th century by Polish Count Stanislaw Potocki. In a few years he presented it as a gift to his wife, Sofia. The Park has more than three thousand types of trees and bushes, exotic flowers, artificial waterfalls, lakes and pounds, wonderful fountains, a stone garden and even underground rivers. This amazing landmark has already won the hearts of thousands of tourists. It is also a good place for family vacations.

The Tunnel of Love near the village of Klevan in Rivne region

It is a five-kilometer section of industrial railway that links Klevan with Orzhiv. The Tunnel of Love is an alley, surrounded by trees on both sides. Their branches are intertwined and form green arches that look really stunning. All trees along the railway line were planted in Soviet times to hide a secret military base. These days the Tunnel of Love in Klevan is one of the favourite romantic attractions for couples. Tourists can visit it at any time of the year. But the best time is the end of spring, when the vegetation looks really fresh, or the mid-fall, if you prefer gorgeous golden colours.

The Palanok castle in Mukachevo

It is the main landmark in Zakarpattia Region. The Castle is on a 68-meter high hill and has an area of about 14 thousand square meters. The buildings date back to the 14th century. Inside the castle tourists can also find the History Museum with a collection of different cultural items and ancient things which were used in every-day life. Palanok is a unique example of medieval architecture that brings together several styles. Many foreign tourists visit this legendary place every year.

The town of Vilkovo in Odessa region

The town is located near the border with Romania. It is called the Ukraine Venice because most of its streets are actually water canals (erikas). Formed by Don and Zaporozhian Cossacks in the middle of the 17th century, Vilkovo is really attractive to travellers nowadays. Local gondolas and motor boats are the most frequently used means of transport there. Tourists are offered boat trips along the Danube to admire the picturesque landscapes of the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve.

The National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life Pyrogovo in Kyiv

This place is very popular with the tourists from all over the world. It is also the largest ethnographic open-air museum in Ukraine and Europe. Founded in the late 1960s, it has about three hundred authentic buildings from all regions of Ukraine. In addition, visitors can see with their own eyes lots of household objects such as furniture, traditional clothes, tools, folk music instruments and clay pots. Walking in the museum, tourists cannot miss many wooden churches, rural schools or huge windmills. A lot of folk festivals are regularly organized in areas of the museum. That is why all guests are welcome here in summer and winter.
