Registration (ordinary wealth citizen)

A “Commonwealth citizen” may be recognized as a Mauritius resident per chapter 5 of the Mauritius Immigration and nationality law if he has stayed in Mauritius for a constant duration of 5 years or such lesser period shortly before the time of his request.

Adoption

An individual who invests a minimum of 500,000 US dollars in Mauritius may be naturalized as a Mauritius national per article 9(3) of the Mauritius Nationality Ordinance.
